K&N to Begin $8m Bridge Crane Rehabilitation Project

K&N is pleased to announce the contract award of the Little Goose and Lower Granite Dams 600 Ton Bridge Cranes Rehabilitation project for the Walla Walla District Corps of Engineers.  This $8m project consists of two 600 Ton bridge cranes and will begin early 2014.  The award of this crane rehabilitation project is a testament to K&N’s reputation as a leading expert in crane rehabilitation work.  As the prime contractor, K&N will oversee the entire project from inception through completion.

K&N will perform design, engineering and manufacturing, including the manufacturing of modernized operator’s cabs, control panels, and new cable hoist drums (as needed) at the Spokane facility.  Field electrical installation will be completed by Intermountain Electric, a K&N owned subsidiary.   Field mechanical and structural installation will be completed by Industrial Support Services, a Spokane-based company that is part of the K&N family of businesses and owned by John Schmidlkofer.
